The brief
Built and launched a production marketing site for a local auto repair shop in South Phoenix, focused on turning local traffic into calls and direction requests.
- Build trust quickly with first-time visitors.
- Increase mobile conversions (
Call NowandDirections). - Serve both English and Spanish audiences.
- Improve local SEO visibility with consistent business data.
How I delivered
- Put trust signals near the top of the page: reviews, service clarity, hours, phone, and location.
- Added persistent mobile CTAs so users can call or navigate in one tap.
- Implemented route-based bilingual content (
/en,/es) with consistent messaging across both locales. - Added local SEO structure (metadata + schema) and kept NAP details consistent.
Technical decisions
- Next.js App Router for routing and metadata control.
- TypeScript for safer iteration and refactors.
- Tailwind CSS for fast, consistent UI implementation.
- Kept most of the site static and lightweight; lazy-loaded map content.
- Deployed on Netlify with production headers and caching.
Tools and stack
- Frontend: Next.js, React, TypeScript
- Styling: Tailwind CSS
- SEO: metadata, sitemap/robots, JSON-LD (
LocalBusiness, reviews) - Performance:
next/image, lazy map loading - Deployment: Netlify
Outcome
- Site is live at morenoautorepairllc.com.
- Delivered a freelance project that ties business goals directly to UX and technical execution.
